The PMI, Risk Management Specific Interest Group, (RiskSIG) is celebrating in 2008 their 10th anniversary, and would like to organize and sponsor a Premiere International Symposium in a prestigious venue on the French Riviera. The local Chapter (PMI France-Sud) has accepted to host this Symposium in November 2008 in close cooperation with RiskSIG. This event should bring benefits to both organizations (PMI RiskSIG and PMI France-Sud Chapter). The following strategic benefits have been identified by RiskSIG and PMI France-Sud Chapter:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A Professional International Project Risk Management Symposium will be hosted by the PMI France-Sud Chapter in close ownership and cooperation with PMI RiskSIG on the French Riviera (Monte-Carlo, Nice or Cannes) during the month of November 2008 at a prestigious venue, including the following elements :

• Keynote speeches
• Technical papers
• Seminars and workshops
• Sponsors events
• Trade exhibition (optional)
• Accompanying Partners' programme
• Social/tourism events

The Symposium will present the current status of Risk Management in Projects, focusing on achievements worldwide, and stimulate the development of Project Risk Management thinking for the future. The primary goal of the conference is to "Advance the State of the Art and Practice of Risk Management" as conducted in Projects and Programmes worldwide.
