NOTE: As of January 24, 2001 the By-Laws are no longer the governing documents. However, they are still used for operational procedures if/as necessary. The Articles of Incorporation are the only current legal documents governing the operation of the RiskSIG.
This organization shall be called the Project Management Institute Risk Management Specific Interest Group, Inc. (hereinafter the "RiskSIG"). This organization is a specific interest group chartered by the Project Management Institute, inc. (hereinafter "PMI"). PMI is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) professional organization dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art of project management. The RiskSIG is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) professional organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management.
